Primarians are good-natured, light hearted, and some may say dangerously curious creatures. They seek fellowship and care little for violence. They enjoy the company of others, and they take particular enjoyment in impersonations, charades, and social pranks. Though Primarians are very fragile in body, Primarians are big of heart, and fast friends.
Primarian males average about 4 and a half feet tall and normally weigh around 65 pounds. The women are roughly the same as the males, though often they have longer hair. Primarians have small noses and hand-shaped feet, as well as a prehensile tail that assists in their movement.
Primarians live longer than humans. They reach adulthood at age 15, but they rarely live more than 140 years.
Primarians enjoy an easy friendship with humans, finding each other mutually entertaining, and also tend to bond very well with halflings, as both prefer the wandering life and they share a fondness for family and kinship. They also enjoy the company of gnomes, who they can mutually engage with the eccentricities of, and elves, who they share a fascination of the natural world with. Primarians rarely associate themselves with dwarves, who are far too gruff to understand the nuances of practical jokes.
Primarians have distaste for frontal violence, preferring to make friends then enemies. Primarians will always fight for the innocent and those they hold dear. Though they tend to look at the law with a sort of indifference, few of the monkeyfolk will admit to causing trouble. The Primarians tend to be chaotic good.
Presently Primarians have no lands of their own to call home, though they find themselves comfortable in the wild jungles or near elven settlements. Most Primarians wander Golarion in search of new lands to call their own.
Primarians are loose and forgiving with their beliefs; any religion or cult that doesn’t hurt them is a welcome invitation to explore their curiosities. The greater majority of Primarians choose to follow Saku, the Monkey King, but some of them also worship Sarenrae, Iomedae, Cayden Cailean or Erastil. Primarians are disinclined to follow the teachings of Gorum, Rovagug, and Asmodeus, though some have succumbed to their natural curiosity and found themselves unable to escape the predations of these deities’ churches.
All Primarians speak Common, but are not taught any other language from birth, though they will absorb the languages of races they spend the most time around.
